Anna Ruiz-Gruwell, Nurse Practitioner, is Board Certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as an Adult Health Nurse Practitioner as well as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She began her career in health care by working as a nurse assistant in a long-term care facility in Mesa, Arizona when she was 17 years old. Since that time, driven by her passion to care for others, she went on to further her education by obtaining an Associates of Applied Science Degree as a Registered Nurse from Mesa Community College in Mesa, Arizona. She relocated to Eastern Idaho in December 1997 and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Idaho State University in 2007. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing as an Adult Health Care Nurse Practitioner in 2012 through South University in Savannah, Georgia. She returned to obtain her post graduate certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2014. During her 27 years of practicing as a Registered Nurse she has practiced in many different areas of nursing, with over 15 years working in an Emergency Room setting. Anna enjoys working with her patients and family members, helping them to achieve their health and wellness goals. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors, working in her yard, crocheting, and working on home projects.
