Rachel is well experienced in the fields of mental health, crisis management, and psychotherapy. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of New Mexico and her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. Rachel uses an integrative, client centered approach to therapy; and tailors each treatment approach to the specific, and unique needs of clients. Rachel focuses on understanding the root cause of behaviors and how these behaviors manifest in the present. Rachel often utilizes techniques from Psychodynamic Therapy, Mindfulness, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Psychoeducation, and Somatic Processing among others. Rachel works primarily with adolescents and their families, as well as adults. Rachel has experience working with trauma, crisis management, suicide prevention, the LGBTQI+ community, anxiety, depression, sexual assault, amongst many other mental health areas. When Rachel is not working she enjoys playing with her two fur babies, Cumbre and Mikan, and binge watching the latest TV show on Netflix.
