Intervention Technician

The Learning Center, a division of Innovative Health Care Concepts (IHCC), is hiring full- and part-time professionals to work as Intervention Technicians.  This is the first step to becoming an Intervention Specialist (IS) for those who are close to meeting IS requirements.  This position works with children in community, home, and school settings.  You will teach functional life skills and reduce problem behaviors. 

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human service field – or be within 15 credits of graduation with such a degree;
  • Active progress towards Intervention Specialist qualification;
  • Clean driving record and reliable transportation;
  • CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to certify;
  • Able to pass fingerprint-based background check.

Job responsibilities:

  • Implementing a behavior plan;
  • Teaching age-appropriate functional life skills;
  • Assisting participants in taking part in social and leisure activities;
  • Following all agency policies regarding treatment of participants;
  • Providing transportation for participant;
  • Documenting all services for Medicaid reimbursement.
