Elsa Benson earned her Master’s degree in Social Work at Northwest Nazarene University and received previous mental health schooling at Georgia State University. Elsa uses an integrative, client-centered approach to therapy, often utilizing techniques from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Art Therapy, Self-Regulation, Mindfulness and Acceptance Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Play Therapy among others. Elsa enjoys working with clients of all ages and their families. She has extensive experience and interest in working with clients with disabilities, anxiety, trichotillomania, excoriation, and with clients on the autism spectrum. When Elsa is not working with clients, you can find her enjoying time with her family, pets, traveling, hiking, shopping, and spending as much time as possible outdoors.
